Banapple Bread*

Ingredients

  • Flour (2 cups)
  • Baking soda (1 tsp)
  • Baking powder (3 tsp)
  • Granny Smith Apple (2)
  • Cinnamon (1 tsp + some for topping)
  • Brown sugar (1 cup + some for topping)
  • Bananas (4 whole)
  • Eggs (2 large)

Directions

  • Grab 2 mixing bowls (one for dry, one for wet)
  • Preheat oven to 350°
  • In the dry bowl, put 2 cups of flour, 1 tsp of baking soda, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
  • In the wet bowl, whisk together 4 mashed ripe bananas, 2 large beaten eggs, 1 cup of melted butter, and 1 cup of brown sugar.
  • Peel and dice 2 Granny Smith apples, put a frying pan on medium and add brown sugar, butter and cinnamon. Cook until apples are fragrant, and sugar melts into a paste. Should be around 3-4 minutes.
  • Gently fold ingredients of dry bowl into the wet bowl, then mix the reduced diced cinnamon apples with them
  • Pour ingredients into a loaf tin, top with cinnamon/sugar mixture and put into oven at 350° for 1 hour or until cooked through
  • Leave Banapple bread to rest for 10 minutes
  • Enjoy!
