Red Lobster has introduced Lobster tail with Waffles as a menu item as of March 26th. The meal takes a deep fried lobster tail and serves it with a Waffle made with the same mix used in the cheddar bay biscuits.
I was curious so, I took to the twitter streets to see what the meal looks like without having to step into a red lobster. Here’s what I found:
I decided to take this on myself with a couple notable changes:
- No cheddar bay mix. If you’ve noticed my other posts I shy away from dairy due to an allergy.
- Lobster tail isn’t deep fried. I didn’t see much point in deep frying the the entire lobster tail, especially the shell which you wouldn’t eat anyway.
Here is what I came up with after my attempt:
I made a batter for the waffles using a recipe I will post in the coming weeks. I also avoided putting syrup on the lobster tail because let’s be real, syrup on lobster is 🤢.
What do you think? Would you try my version? Have you tried the Red Lobster dish? Which do you like better?
Sound off in the comments!
The Red Lobster version looks pretty gross! Yours looks so much better. I don’t eat lobster but I would definitely make your version for family to try.

I would totally try your recipe! I feel like the cheddar in the batter would overpower the delicate lobster meat and yes definitely no syrup🤢😂
