Ingredients:
- 1 pound Ground Turkey
- Salt (1 Tbsp)
- Pepper (1 Tbsp)
- Worcester Sauce (2 Tbsp)
- Bread crumbs (1 3/4 cups)
- Almond Milk (1 cup)
- Garlic (3 cloves)
- Onion (1 – chopped)
- Egg (1)
- Steak seasoning (2 Tbsp)
Sauce
- Ketchup (1/4 cup)
- BBQ Sauce (1/4 cup)
- Brown Sugar (1/2 cup)
- Worcester Sauce (1 Tbsp)
- Black pepper
Directions:
Dice 1 whole onion and 3 cloves of garlic. Fry the diced onion in a pan with olive oil for around 2 minutes. Add the Garlic and fry for another minute or so, moving both around making sure the garlic doesn’t burn. Take both the onion and garlic off of heat and put aside in a bowl.
In a separate bigger bowl, put the one pound of ground turkey in and break it up either with your hands (wear latex gloves!) or with a spatula. Season with salt and pepper.
Pour the fried onion and garlic in the bowl with the seasoned ground turkey.
Break an egg and put it in with the ground turkey mixture. Then pour 1 cup of almond milk in. Afterwards, add 1.75 cups of plain bread crumbs.
Break the mixture up some more with your hands so everything comes together, then add 1 Tbsp of Worcester sauce and about 2 tbsp of steak seasoning
Next, move the ground turkey mixture from the bowl into a greased shallow baking pan and form the ground turkey mixture into a loaf with your hands. It should look similar to the picture below
In a separate, smaller bowl mix ketchup, plain bbq sauce, a splash of Worcester sauce, black pepper and half a cup of brown sugar into a bowl. Spread over the surface of the ground turkey
Pre heat oven to 350, and bake for around 45 minutes. Use a meat thermometer and make sure it reaches at least 160 Fahrenheit before eating
Serves 5-6 people.
Enjoy!
