Cinnamon Apple Waffles*

Ingredients:

  • All Purpose Flour (2 cups)
  • Baking Soda (4 Teaspoons)
  • Salt (1.25 Teaspoons)
    • (All 3 can be Substituted for Bisquick)
  • Brown Sugar (1 Tablespoon)
  • Cinnamon (3 Tablespoons)
  • Golden Apple (1)
  • Eggs (2 Whole)
  • Vegetable Oil
  • Almond Milk (1.75 cup)

Directions:

Beat 2 eggs in a large bowl until fluffy.  Add flour, almond milk, vegetable oil, cinnamon (1 tablespoon), brown sugar, baking powder and salt.  Whip the ingredients until the mixture is smooth

Heat a waffle iron then spray with a non-stick cooking spray.  Pour the batter into the heated waffle iron.

Dice both of the golden apples and set aside.  Heat a frying pan to medium and lightly coat with vegetable oil.  Once the pan is hot add the diced apples and a slice of butter. Add two tablespoons of cinnamon with a tablespoon of brown sugar and mix in the frying pan until the apples caramelize.

Place the caramalized apples on the waffles and drown them in syrup like I do! Enjoy!

Serves 5-6
